Ensure evidence-based public policy – DG, PSSDC

Mr. Olusola Kolawole, representing the Director-General of the Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC), has urged civil servants to prioritize evidence-based public policies in their official duties. He made this call during a three-day seminar on “Introduction to Public Policy Processes” held at the PSSDC.

Mr. Kolawole emphasized the profound impact that public policies have on the well-being of individuals, communities, and nations. He stressed the importance of deepening participants’ understanding of the policy-making process and enhancing their analytical skills. According to him, acquiring knowledge and skills through such courses represents a greater commitment to excellence, innovation, and social responsibility. This commitment underscores a collective belief in the power of informed decision-making, collaborative problem-solving, and inclusive governance.

He highlighted that only through collective action, guided by shared values, can a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous future be built for all. Mr. Kolawole encouraged participants to remain open-minded throughout the course to foster a collaborative environment that will benefit the Lagos State Government and its citizens.
