LASG urges teachers to hope for better future

The Lagos State Government has urged teachers in the State to hope for better tomorrow.

The Director-General, Mr. Adekunmilola Toluwase Adio-Moses, Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC), stated this in his address to participants at the ‘Apps for Teaching and Learning 2023’ workshop.

The training programme, held at the PSSDC, Magodo, was organised by a Non-Governmental Organisation, ‘Street to School Initiative’ in collaboration with the American Centre of the United States Consulate, Lagos and the STL Limited to celebrate the 2023 World Teachers’ Day.

Adio-Moses asserted that the training is very important to teachers, stressing that the acquisition of more knowledge ‘Apps’, would go a long way in ensuring that teaching in Lagos State is made easier.

Also speaking at the event, the representative of the Permanent Secretary, Teaching Service Commission, Mr. Olawale Aina encouraged the teachers to put in their best in order to achieve the realization of Mr. Governor ‘s education and technology pillar of the State THEMES plus Agenda.

In her own speech, the US consulate Deputy Public Affairs Officer, Mrs. Amada Roach Brown described the teachers as the architect of knowledge that possess the power to shape the future and build the leaders of tomorrow.

She added that, it was important for teachers to embrace technology in order to ensure that education remain accessible and inclusive to every child.

Mrs. Brown posited that, the training would take the teachers through the various ‘Apps for Teaching and Learning ‘ which would enhance their output of service delivery.
