PSSDC Trains Public Servants on “Working to Get Results”

The Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC) has launched a three-day workshop titled “Working to Get Results.” This workshop aims to equip public servants with the necessary skills and strategies to excel in a results-driven environment. Participants will engage in various modules designed to develop a results-oriented mindset and the skills needed to translate efforts into measurable achievements.

Addressing the participants at the event, the representative of the Director-General of PSSDC, Mr. Olusola Kolawole, emphasized that success is not a secret formula but a combination of preparation, hard work, and learning from failures. “Success comes from thorough preparation, dedicated hard work, and the willingness to learn from failures,” Mr. Kolawole stated.

He highlighted the importance of the workshop in helping participants identify areas for improvement within their current work performance. Mr. Kolawole urged the public servants to understand the factors that motivate and inspire effective work performance and to develop essential problem-solving skills. “This workshop is designed to help you recognize areas where you can improve, understand what drives effective work performance, and enhance your problem-solving abilities,” he noted.

Mr. Kolawole also assured the participants that the sessions would provide them with the tools and strategies needed to excel in their roles. “By the end of this workshop, you will be equipped with practical tools and strategies that will enable you to achieve excellence in your work,” he added.

The workshop, which includes interactive sessions, case studies, and practical exercises, aims to foster a culture of continuous improvement among public servants. Participants are expected to leave with a renewed commitment to excellence and the skills to achieve tangible results in their respective roles.
